Programs and events

Darwin City Council Libraries host a variety of programs and events for library patrons of all ages. These are advertised within the libraries and through the media.

Book Clubs

If you are passionate about discussing books and would like to meet once a month with some like-minded souls, Darwin City Council Libraries have 5 book clubs to choose from.

Casuarina and City Libraries’ evening groups meet on the first Wednesday of the month at 6.00pm. Enjoy a glass of wine and settle back for some lively chats over popular titles and authors.

For those who only have an hour to spare out of a busy day, our popular lunchtime book club held on the last Thursday of the month at 12.00 noon at the City Library may be for you. Bring your lunch and we will supply coffee and juice.

Still at school? The libraries have a Youth book group that meets every second Thursday from 4 – 5pm. Currently it is being held at Nightcliff Library.

For more information contact your library or phone 8930 0216

Casuarina Library invites solo and duo acoustic acts to perform at the library during Friday lunchtimes (12–1 pm).
