Darwin City Council libraries have regular events and activities for children during school holidays.

June/July Holiday Program

Darwin City Council Libraries have a great program lined up for the June/July holidays with “A taste of Asia” as its theme.

The program is designed to provide hours of fun for all and has separate activities for both the 4-7 age group and 8-12+ group.

Tradition goes Tropical - here’s a great opportunity for 12-18 year old budding artists to get creative and design Christmas decorations.  Darwin City Council have 100 street poles around the city to decorate with big, colourful banners and your design could be among them.  Workshops will be held at Casuarina and Karama Libraries.

Also for teens, Susanne Gervay, popular author of youth fiction, eg the “Jack” books, the Cave and Shadows of Olive Trees will be appearing at Casuarina Library to talk about her books and youth issues in literature on 14 July.
