Shoal Bay waste disposal site

Darwin's Landfill is formally known as the Shoal Bay waste disposal site. It is located in the Northern suburbs near Karama, off Vanderlin Drive. The landfill is open every day of the year from 7.00am - 6.00pm, except for shorter hours on Christmas Day. At present there are no entrance fees to the tip for domestic quantities of rubbish delivered in single axle trailers or utes up to one tonne. Please take care when dumping and note the signs for garden cuttings and where to leave household refuse. Please take directions from staff on-site.

A new speed bump has been installed just inside the main gate of the tip, so please ensure you slow down for it when entering the area.
