Vandalism and graffiti in parks

Sadly, vandalism and graffiti are serious ongoing problems for Darwin's park managers, and cleaning up after irresponsible people who create havoc in this way is time consuming and expensive. Our parks have been created and maintained to help give Darwin its tropical green look and are there for people to relax in and enjoy. Treat them with respect - and if you observe irresponsible people vandalising park property or painting graffiti on fences or other structures, report them to the police. The law applies stiff penalties to people caught destroying public property in this way.
