Park access

Darwin's many delightful city and suburban parks are generally available without charge for anyone to use and enjoy. Some park areas are fenced to protect them against vehicle use that can destroy or damage plants and native animals. The historic East Point Reserve is locked at nights to prevent vandalism and protect the resident Agile Wallaby population from being killed, injured or alarmed.
